Rain or Shine

Western Rodeo in Lake George

As the sun begins to set behind the Adirondack Mountains, that's when things heat up at the Painted Pony Rodeo. Your adventure begins with the Painted Pony's world famous Southern Style BBQ.

After the BBQ, mosey on over to the oldest continuous weekly rodeo started in 1953 by Don "Wild Horse" Baxter. In the rodeo arena, capture the excitement of bareback, saddle bronc, and bull riding. Hold on to your cowboy hats during the team roping, tie-down roping, and steer wrestling, and as the ladies race against the clock in the barrel racing contest.

Cheer on these professional cowboys from throughout the country as they compete for nightly cash prizes and a chance at the year-end trophy buckle. As the dust begins to settle in the rodeo arena, follow the sounds of the hottest country music as it flows out between the swinging doors of the Longhorn Saloon. Here you can kick up your heels all night long, or belly-up to the bar and enjoy a drink and discover just how wild the west can be.
